This month old restaurant is doing something fantastic. Located on Sawtelle Blvd in West L.A., the atmosphere and staff were causal and friendly. The menu was not overly complicated and had just the right amount of items. Definitely go with a group so you can try out many of the dishes/sandwiches/burgers. So sit back, grab a beer (I had a delicious Strand Brewery 24th St. Pale Ale), eat delicious food and enjoy the LA weather.
Smokey Fried Chicken jidori chicken, smoked milk gravy, yam preserves, spicy pickled okra. This may just be the best damn way to start off the morning. This was by faaarrr the best bite from my trip in LA. Even my parents agreed.
Short Rib Pot Roast red wine, bone marrow turnover pie, sweet n sour mirepoix. That piece of beef was super tender and HELLO bone marrow turnover pie!
Chefs Favorite Burger cheese two ways, bacon two ways, ketchup leather, fried egg, hot sauce. Ok I’m not quite sure how the bacon was two ways but this was one serious burger. Also surprisingly, this burger did not fall apart even slicing it into four pieces.
