Beer Table, a cozy intimate beer place where the owners hand pick each beer on the menu
Few weeks ago, I met up with Howard at Beer Table after reading it some where (I forgot where I read it from) and we’re always up for trying new bars. After a 22 minute walk I got to Beer Table, it’s quite easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. I walked into a dark tiny place with 3 counter tops and 8 stools per counter top. I picked the spot closest to the kitchen area and the sister of the owner came and greeted me. I think that’s when I fell in love with the place. I love it when the people there get personal with their customers, made me felt like a friend or something. She explained the beer menu and allowed me to taste the 3 beers that were on draft. Howard and I shared a cheese plate; now I’m not a big cheese fan — I prefer my cheese on pizza, in burgers and sandwiches but I don’t really eat cheese just by itself. Oh gosh! The 3 cheeses that they had that day were soooooooo good!!! The beers they serve at Beer Table are specialty beers so they will cost more. Recently several blogs have started to complain about Beer Table serving a $95 beer. SOOOOOOOOO WHAT?!?!?!?! WHO CARES? There are $7 – $10 beers that people can order, no one is making anyone buy the $95 beer. Also it’s a specialty beer place, they sell beers for beer lovers. It’s like people paying $200 for a beanie baby! Maybe that’s not a good comparison but you know what I mean.
Anyways, I love this place and that’s all it matters. Also, we went back 2 weeks later and they recognized us so that’s a plus plus plus!
