Last night we had the good fortune to be invited to the Dirt Candy book release party, held at the Housing Works Bookstore. The place was packed with supporters, and there was an open bar. We didn’t get much food — every time a server came out with a tray he or she was swarmed with other party goers. Even so, it was a good time. We were treated to a dramatic reading of one of the recipes, a slideshow chronicling the transformation of the restaurant space, and an open bar. We left wanting to make a return trip to Dirt Candy, it has been far too long.
