It’s my favorite time of year — artichokes are in season! I know some people think that they are too much work, but I don’t mind cleaning them. Besides, here in Brooklyn we get these relatively small ones (the one pictured above is roughly the size of a golf ball) which don’t require much prep at all. The hardest part is that you have to arrive early to grab these, as they sell out pretty quickly.
