This morning was gorgeous; sunny but with no humidity and a slight breeze. There was almost a chill in the air, so that even now in early August it felt like fall was just around the corner. No surprise then to see pears at the Farmer’s Market. Although a little hard, they were juicy and sweet, with only a hint of tartness. After the heat waves we’ve been experiencing this summer, it was a nice reminder of autumn to come.
